Diamond Bakery’s Coffee Dreams Almost Brewing! ☕️✨
Following up on the update back in October, where we revealed Diamond Bakery’s plans for a coffee and tea express takeaway? Well, buckle up, caffeine lovers, because the aroma of fresh brew is getting closer!
We just dropped by for a sneak peek, and let’s just say the transformation is stunning. Check out this exclusive photo (link to photo) – sleek counters, stylish seating, and warm lighting create a welcoming atmosphere that practically begs for lingering conversations and pastry-fueled mornings.
The best part? While final permits are still brewing (pun intended!), Diamond Bakery has whipped up a delicious surprise: their express takeout section is almost complete! That means you can grab your coffee and tea fix to go, paired with your favorite Diamond Bakery treats, very soon.
Think aromatic coffees, frothy lattes, and soothing herbal infusions, all perfectly complementing their legendary breads and pastries. It’s the perfect on-the-go pick-me-up or a delightful pause amidst the vibrant heart of Chinatown.
So keep your eyes peeled, Chinatown enthusiasts! The official grand opening date is just around the corner, and we’ll be the first to spill the beans (we couldn’t resist another pun!). From Volcanic Eruption to Tea Transformation: What’s Brewing at the Chinatown Plaza?
Remember back in August when Volcano Tea mysteriously closed its doors for renovations? We all scratched our heads at the lack of visible progress, and some whispers of a permanent goodbye even started swirling around Chinatown.
Well, dear tea enthusiasts, buckle up for a plot twist! Those whispers held a grain of truth, but not the kind we feared. Volcano Tea might be saying sayonara, but it’s paving the way for a brand new tea adventure: Gong cha is brewing up something exciting in its place!
While details about Gong cha‘s Chinatown debut are still steeping (pun intended!), one thing’s for sure – it’s a name synonymous with delicious, customizable bubble tea experiences. So, while we bid farewell to Volcano Tea and its fiery concoctions, we can’t wait to welcome Gong cha and its promise of fresh, flavorful sips.
Stay tuned, Chinatown! We’ll keep our ears to the ground (and our taste buds ready!) for all the updates on Gong cha’s grand opening. Let’s raise a (soon-to-be) boba-filled toast to new beginnings and exciting tea journeys in the heart of Chinatown!
Shanghai Plaza Bustles and Shanghai Taste Expands and Noodle Nest’s Grand Opening
The beating heart of Chinatown, Shanghai Plaza, was a hive of activity this week! Noodle lovers rejoice, because Noodle Nest, the highly anticipated successor to Dagu Noodle, is generating rave reviews during its soft opening. Get ready for slurping bliss at their grand opening soon!
Meanwhile, in the realm of culinary thrills, Noodle Nest is making waves (seafood waves, that is!) with its legendary giant fried squid. This tentacled behemoth is drawing crowds who want to take on the crispy challenge, and rumor has it that it’s becoming famous as a Chinatown must-try. Be prepared for epic photo ops and epic appetites!
Speaking of culinary expansions, Shanghai Taste announced their ambitious plans to conquer new taste buds. Look out for their new locations in the Las Vegas SW and their first national outpost in Dallas, Texas! Chef Jimmy Li is keeping everyone guessing about a special dish exclusive to the SW location, but one thing’s for sure – it’s sure to be a taste sensation.
While the food scene sizzles, the mystery surrounding Master Kim’s Tofu House deepens. No news on the remodel yet, but we’ll keep you posted on any savory developments.
Stay tuned next Wednesday for another delicious scoop!

Calling all lunch lovers! Craving a steaming bowl of hot pot goodness? Look no further than Spring Oak Shopping Center! Shabuya, the popular Japanese restaurant known for its delicious hot pot meals featuring meat, veggies, seafood, and noodles, is now open for lunch 7 days a week!
That’s right, you can satisfy your midday cravings with all your favorite Shabuya fixings, from melt-in-your-mouth wagyu to fresh veggies and hearty noodles. Gather your friends or indulge in a solo hot pot feast – the possibilities are endless.
Find Shabuya at 4725 W. Spring Mountain Rd. Ste A-E, Las Vegas, NV 89102 and give them a call at (702) 776-9277 to book your table or order takeout. Don’t miss this exciting addition to the lunch scene!
Tip:
Don’t look for signage for this mall. For the longest time, we mistakenly assumed the Chinatown strip mall lacked a name, often referring to it as ‘The strip mall with no name.’ This misconception arose as no signage within the area displayed its official name.
