Chinatown Report: This Week in Chinatown
Las Vegas Chinatown news and analysis by Chinatownvegas.com. Food. Restaurants. Tips. Things to do. Events. What’s in? What’s out? RUMORS + much more
This past week
As usual, Las Vegas truly lived up to its reputation as the entertainment capital of the world, delivering an incredible week filled with breathtaking concerts, electrifying DJ’s, thrilling gambling, exquisite dining experiences, and captivating shows. Meanwhile, Chinatown experienced scorching temperatures, reaching 100 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday.
However, the bustling energy of the city was somewhat hindered by extensive roadwork associated with the Formula 1 race. As a consequence, commuters leaving Chinatown and heading eastbound faced substantial delays due to Spring Mountain Road being reduced to a single lane from the I-15 through Las Vegas Boulevard. The resulting traffic congestion and prolonged delays were an unfortunate consequence of the necessary construction, causing inconvenience for motorists in the area.
What’s coming?
Las Vegas is a hub of captivating concerts that cater to various musical tastes. Among them, James Taylor will enchant audiences on June 9th and 10th at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. With his soulful voice and timeless hits, Taylor promises an unforgettable experience at this renowned venue.
Additionally, the Brooklyn Bowl – Las Vegas presents two thrilling shows. On June 9th, Buckcherry will bring their energetic rock music to the stage, while Beartooth and Trivium will deliver a powerful metalcore and heavy metal extravaganza on June 10th.
Meanwhile, the Cannery Hotel and Casino hosts a dynamic double bill on June 10th featuring Stryper and Quiet Riot, promising an unforgettable rock performance. For a soulful journey, the M Resort Spa Casino presents the Drifters, Cornell Gunter Coasters, and Platters on the same evening.
With a diverse range of musical experiences, from soulful melodies to intense rock and metal, Las Vegas offers an exciting destination for live music enthusiasts.
Now, let us redirect our attention to the bustling core of activity—Chinatown. This vibrant locale is the epitome of limitless thrills and a harmonious blend of heritage and contemporary elements.
We are starting from the east and heading west on Spring Mountain Rd.
