This Week in Chinatown video series is officially launching, bringing Chinatown Vegas’ long-running weekly editorial coverage to life through a new on-the-ground video recap hosted by Ruby Anne.

Ruby Anne is filming the new “This Week in Chinatown” video series at Chinatown Plaza in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas’ Chinatown has always moved fast.
New restaurants open quietly. Hidden gems become packed overnight. Late-night hotspots evolve block by block. Community stories unfold daily across the Spring Mountain corridor — often faster than most people can keep up with.
Now, ChinatownVegas.com is bringing those stories to life with the launch of a brand-new weekly video series: This Week in Chinatown, hosted by Ruby Anne.
The new series expands on Chinatown Vegas’ long-running weekly editorial feature by transforming the stories, openings, live performances, food culture, nightlife, and community updates into a visual on-the-ground experience.
From the iconic Chinatown Plaza to late-night favorites like The Sand Dollar Lounge, the series will take viewers directly into the heart of one of Las Vegas’ fastest-growing cultural corridors.
How the This Week in Chinatown Video Series Works
The format is simple:
- Every Monday: The This Week in Chinatown article drops on ChinatownVegas.com.
- Every Tuesday: The video recap follows on social media and YouTube.
The video series will feature breaking Chinatown news, new restaurant openings, live performances, nightlife, Chinatown Spotlight features, “Coming Soon” exclusives, community stories, local favorites, hidden gems, and the popular recurring Chinatown Gripes segment.
Unlike traditional tourism coverage, the series is designed to capture the real energy of the corridor — the people, businesses, creators, chefs, musicians, and late-night culture shaping modern Chinatown Las Vegas.
Watch “This Week in Chinatown: The Prequel”
The inaugural introduction video, titled “This Week in Chinatown: The Prequel,” serves as the official launch of the series and sets the tone for what viewers can expect moving forward.
The production features scenes filmed throughout the corridor, including Chinatown Plaza’s kitchens, nightlife venues, bustling dining rooms, and Spring Mountain Road itself.
With more than 248 verified restaurants across roughly three miles, Chinatown Las Vegas has evolved into one of the most dynamic dining and cultural districts in the country — and Chinatown Vegas plans to continue documenting that growth in real time.
The first official weekly recap episode premieres next week.
“We’re starting at the Sand Dollar and heading west. Don’t be late. I’ll see you in Chinatown.”
