June 23, 2024
Welcome back, Chinatown fam!
Get ready for another whirlwind week in your favorite Las Vegas neighborhood! This edition of “This Week in Chinatown” is packed with updates, from exciting karaoke nights to the highly-anticipated Chinatown redevelopment project. Let’s dive in and see what’s new in our ‘hood!
Exotica Happy Hour at The Golden Tiki
The Golden Tiki invites you to experience Exotica Happy Hour every Monday from 4 pm-7 pm. This week, enjoy the debut of the “Notorious POG” cocktail, featuring Mount Gay Eclipse Navy Strength, Avua Ambruana, passionfruit, and citrus for just $12.
The evening will be enhanced by a DJ set from DJ Afterschool Special and live music by Thee Swank Bastards, offering the best in classic and modern exotica, Latin, jazz, and surf. Presented with support from @retrorollin emporium, this 21+ event promises a night of great music and unique drinks. Reservations are recommended, and management reserves all rights.
TruVape Closes at Center at Spring Mountain
In other news from the Center at Spring Mountain, Tru Vape has closed its doors. There’s no word yet on what will replace the vape shop. However, their Fort Apache store remains open for all your vaping needs. Stay tuned for updates on what’s next for this location!
Hold the Sugar, Daddy, folks!
The plot thickens at the Center at Spring Mountain. The buzz about the Sugar Daddy Candy Shop has fizzled out, and the “Coming Soon” sign has vanished.
In its place? A new sign for “Las Vegas Floral & Sweets.” Intriguing, right?
Details are scarce—no opening date or social media presence yet. Will it offer vibrant bouquets and decadent desserts? Only time will tell!
Stay tuned, Chinatown Fam! We’ll keep you updated on this mysterious new arrival. Share your theories in the comments below!
New Restaurant Coming to Hotai Plaza
Exciting changes are happening in Hotai Plaza! The former furniture shop across the street is being transformed into what promises to be another fantastic restaurant. Construction has already begun, and we can’t wait to see what culinary delights will soon be available. Stay tuned to “This Week in Chinatown” as we learn more about this upcoming addition to our neighborhood’s vibrant food scene.
Van Accident at Rose’s Cleaners & Alterations
A van crashed into Rose’s Cleaners & Alterations, a beloved Chinatown staple serving the community for over 20 years. The store is currently boarded up as repairs are underway. During this period, management is taking the opportunity to do some light remodeling inside.
If you need to pick up any items during this time, please call 702-527-4734. We appreciate your patience and support as Rose’s Cleaners & Alterations works to reopen better than ever.
And that’s a wrap for This Week in Chinatown. Remember, if it happens in Chinatown, it happens here! See you next week
