The entrance to our vibrant Asian District is set to undergo significant improvements, with numerous new projects and businesses enhancing their offerings.

Whispers of a 96,000 SF Spring Mountain Vegas Loop project and 98,000 SF Valley View Vegas Loop development, both near planned Vegas Loop stations, could bring more visitors to our cultural corridor. Meanwhile, COYA Apartments at 3475 W Desert Inn Rd. opened for leasing in March 2024, offering luxury living with a pool and sky lounge.

The Sand Dollar Lounge Shuts Down for Rare Maintenance
Kicking off from the east at 3355 Spring Mountain Rd., The Sand Dollar Lounge is taking a rare break for maintenance this Monday and Tuesday, March 24–25, from 12:00 AM to 11:55 PM each day—CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE. This beloved launchpad for our east-to-west journey is prepping to shine brighter, so mark your calendars and plan.

Sunday, March 23: Blues River Band rocks from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM (10:00 PM highlight)—a soulful start!
Wednesday, March 26: Swayze & Friends hit at 10:00 PM—get ready for a lively night.
Friday, March 28: Jimmy Carpenter brings the blues at 10:00 PM—smooth vibes ahead.
Saturday, March 29: MEGA-SCOPES lands the Funk Ship for an out-of-this-world party, 10:00 PM – 2:00 AM, 21+ with no cover—just Owliens having a blast!

Le Café Central Sweetens Green Leaf Lotus, Plus More Chinatown Bites
Rolling east on Spring Mountain Rd., Green Leaf Lotus at 3616 Spring Mountain Rd. is serving up fresh buzz! Le Café Central, a new French-inspired bakery, has replaced Kono’s Northshore, which closed after dishing Hawaiian favorites in 2021, as reported by Chinatownvegas.com. The bakery’s hosting a meet-and-greet this Saturday, March 29, from 10 AM to 11 AM in the great room—pastries on the house!
Next door, LA’s The Taco Stand keeps the street food vibe alive with its pop-up flair, a nod to the valley’s taco surge. For a luxe treat, next door is reservation-only Kame Omakase delivering a high-end world-class omakase—think Hokkaido Scallop, Uni, Black Truffle, and Caviar. The Center at Spring Mountain Heats Up with Double Zero and Golden Tiki Events
Heading west on Spring Mountain Rd., The Center at Spring Mountain (3939 Spring Mountain Rd.) is stirring up excitement with back-to-back events! Double Zero Pie & Pub hosts an Aperitivo after-party for the International Pizza Expo this Wednesday, March 26, from 6 PM to 8 PM. A Different Beast LV Celebrates First Anniversary with a Pintxo Party at V City Plaza
Moving west on Spring Mountain Rd., V City Plaza —west of Decatur and before Jones—is sizzling with celebration! A Different Beast LV, a Spanish gem specializing in Basque and Catalan pintxos, tapas, wines, and sangrias, is hosting a “Pintxo Party” for its first anniversary on Thursday, April 17, from 5 PM to 9 PM. For $45 per person, enjoy an all-you-can-eat pintxos feast, with an optional all-you-can-drink add-on for $35 more.
Replacing the former Mordeo and later Osaka, this dim-sum-style spot sits across from Chicha San Chen, a bubble tea haven that soft-opened on February 6, 2025, as Chinatownvegas.com first reported, adding to the plaza’s allure. Continuing west on Jones, a few feet south of Spring Mountain is Kangnam Square and it’s buzzing with change! Chinatownvegas.com first reported on June 16, 2023, that a new karaoke spot would take over the former dance studio space—once home to Broadway Hall and Salsa Las Vegas. Now, it’s being converted into Red House Karaoke, with a drastic transformation underway.
The studio’s mirrored walls and dance floors are giving way to sleek karaoke rooms, neon lights, and a vibe that screams late-night fun. Construction crews are hard at work, with whispers of a spring 2025 opening—could it be this month? This 3+-mile strip’s nightlife is about to get a melodic boost, and we’re thrilled to see Red House Karaoke hit all the right notes—stay tuned for the grand reveal!

Last week, we promised to continue our mall journey at Cathay Hills, and here we are, heading west along Spring Mountain Rd.! Each plaza offers a unique tapestry of dining, services, and local charm in Chinatown’s vibrant commercial scene.

Nestled on the north side at 4205 Spring Mountain Rd., Cathay Hills embodies Chinatown’s diversity. Cathay Medical Center & Massage Parlor an acclaimed tattoo shop and Mike’s Shoe Repair round out the essentials. Opposite the former Southwest Gas Complex, now Culinary Union-owned, Cathay Hills blends tradition with Chinatown’s evolving vibe.
Koreatown Village: A Modern Hub Emerges
