Welcome to This Week in Chinatown
January 19, 2025, by chinatownvegas.com
Brrrr, Baby, it’s cold outside! While temperatures in the 50s and 60s might seem warm to some, we desert dwellers know it’s far from our preferred heat. Early next week, the Las Vegas Valley is set to experience its coldest temperatures in over two years, with lows dipping to 31°F on Tuesday morning.
The chill kicks off this weekend, with highs in the mid-50s and lows in the 30s. By Monday’s MLK Parade, gusty winds and temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s will make it feel even colder. But don’t worry—the warmth will creep back in after Tuesday.
Now, let’s take a look around Chinatown and see what’s heating up despite the cold!
We love to start with the Sand Dollar Lounge—not only because it’s an iconic venue deeply rooted in Las Vegas history, but also because we always start our updates from the east and head west on Spring Mountain Road.
This week, as always, the Sand Dollar has a jam-packed calendar of amazing live acts, but we want to highlight a special event happening this Wednesday, January 22:
🎶 A Killers After Party
Featuring: Carlos Guerrero and Friends
Time: 10 PM to 2 AM
Cover: None—completely free!
Location: Sand Dollar Lounge, Chinatown, Las Vegas
