The Sonic Speed Cafe is located at 5600 W. Spring Mountain Road, Suite A, in the former One Piece Cafe space. It combines themed dining, Sonic video games, Las Vegas-inspired artwork, and collectible merchandise. It is the latest stop for Speed Cafe, a traveling pop-up from Sega, which owns the Sonic franchise.
What’s Next
The Sonic Speed Cafe pop-up is scheduled to run through December 2026. But organizers shared an intriguing detail with ChinatownVegas during Thursday’s media preview: something exciting is already being planned. They aren’t revealing what it is just yet. No extension of the Sonic cafe has been confirmed, but we’ll be following developments.
Sonic Takes Over Spring Mountain Road
Inside, the former One Piece Cafe has been transformed into a bright blue Sonic universe. Neon-style lighting, oversized character artwork, hanging golden rings, and colorful wall murals make the room feel more like a video game level than a typical restaurant.
One wall carries a giant Las Vegas Sonic Speed Cafe mural with a casino-style marquee, dice, playing cards, and golden rings. Another displays pinball-style Sonic Generations artwork in a glowing blue frame. Seating is a mix of tables and booths.

The Las Vegas-Only Menu
The Las Vegas location features four exclusive dishes, but two in particular are generating curiosity among visitors:
Las Vegas Exclusive
Casinopolis Dog — $17.99
A hot dog topped with shaved prime rib, horseradish peppercorn crema, and caramelized onions.
Las Vegas Exclusive
Neon Palace Dog — $11.99
A bacon-wrapped hot dog featuring honey-chipotle-lime Sin City sauce and shredded cheddar.
Additional menu highlights include:
Speedway Prime Dip Sandwich — $21.99
Housemade sliced prime rib with horseradish peppercorn crema and caramelized onions.
Shadow’s Ultimate Sandwich — $15.99
Housemade pulled pork with cheddar cheese and sweet and spicy slaw.
Big’s Tackle Box — $18.99
Beer-battered Icelandic cod with crispy fries, citrus dill aioli, and sweet and spicy slaw.
The rest of the menu includes Sonic’s Classic Chili Dog ($12.99), the Knuckles Sandwich ($15.99), and Twin Tails Chicken Tenders ($16.99). The Game On Dog ($7.99) is a plain hot dog, with a vegan option available.
Sides include Power Up Rings (battered onion rings), Blaze Mac Bake, and Fast Lane Fries. For dessert, there are Chaorros, cinnamon churros with Sonic-blue chocolate sauce ($7.99), the Cookies and Chaos Ice Cream Sandwich ($8.99), and Tails’ Tropical Takeoff Tart, a mango-passion fruit tart. Drinks include the Sonic Boom Lemonade ($6.99), the Chaos Emerald Refresher ($6.99), and the Amy Rose Pink Power Slushy ($7.99).
Eat, Play, Repeat
The gaming area has two stations running Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, each with controllers, set in front of a large racing-themed mural and a Green Hill-style wall with the cafe’s neon-lit logo.
For longtime Sonic fans, it’s a nostalgic touch. For younger visitors, it makes the cafe a place to play, not just another themed restaurant.

From One Piece to Sonic
The space was home to One Piece Cafe, which opened in 2024 as the first official One Piece restaurant in the United States. It closed after service on October 2.
Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Cafe debuted in San Diego in July 2023 and has since popped up in California, Texas, Georgia, Illinois, and Missouri. The Las Vegas location joins that list with a menu and merchandise of its own.
Grand Opening Saturday, October 17
Sonic Speed Cafe Las Vegas officially opens to the public on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Opening weekend runs October 17–18, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with character appearances, special activities, and giveaways planned.

Come for Sonic. Stay for Chinatown.
Sonic Speed Cafe may be a temporary attraction, but the surrounding neighborhood offers plenty of reasons to return. Las Vegas Chinatown, just minutes west of the Strip, is home to 248 verified sit-down restaurants along the Spring Mountain Road corridor, along with Asian markets, bakeries, dessert shops, and entertainment destinations.
For visitors discovering Chinatown through Sonic, the cafe is a good starting point for exploring one of Las Vegas’ most diverse dining neighborhoods. Sonic may be famous for speed, but there’s no reason to rush through Chinatown.
