This is a must visit when in Vegas! This is located in Chinatown which is just a couple of blocks over from the strip. The Golden Tiki offers affordable high-quality alcoholic drinks alongside tasty appetizers in a funky Hawaiian-themed atmosphere. I’ve been here twice during their happy hours and have never been disappointed. I love that they offer an alcoholic dole whip for $8! What a bargain! The alcohol is also not skimped on, so you definitely get your money’s worth. There are also delicious appetizers. I like the Mermaid Lisa’s Hot Tots, the Sticky Fingers, and the Coconut Shrimp. You get a great portion during happy hour, which is really satisfying. The Sticky Fingers are fried chicken tenders glazed with a sweet and spicy sauce. It’s not very spicy, but you can taste a hint of spice when you eat it. They are pretty big shrimps and I really like the sweet and sour sauce that comes with them since it goes so well with the coconut flakes on the shrimp. Last but not least, the tater tots are normal potato tots, but the portion is HUGE! There is a creamy French onion dip served with it, but I prefer ketchup on the side. My favorite drink there is the alcoholic dole whip. With the pineapple vodka, it complements the tropical flavor of the dole whip. It wasn’t too overpowering, but I could taste the vodka. Also, I tried the Blue Lagoon. Rum-based drinks definitely pack a punch, and this was no exception. There was definitely a taste of alcohol in my mouth. As I said, their alcohol isn’t skimmed. Excellent customer service and wonderful decor! It was great that we sat at the bar because we got to interact with the bartenders. On the way out, they even gave us bottled water! It was also cool seeing the talking parrots and hula girls dancing. Just seeing the interesting decor was cool. This is a place I would recommend 100%. Next time I return to Vegas, I will definitely come back here!
