Exclusive Q&A: Claw World Owner Sarah Sorrells on Expanding to Chinatown
ChinatownVegas.com’s Shannon Yang spoke with Sarah Sorrells, owner of Claw World, about the decision to expand to Spring Mountain Road, the brand’s rapid growth, and what guests can expect from the new flagship location.
Why was Chinatown the right choice for Claw World’s next location?
“Chinatown is one of the most energetic and fastest-growing areas in Las Vegas. It’s full of culture, incredible food, and creativity—and it’s also very close to the Strip.
Since opening our first location, Claw World has grown into a destination. Many of our guests are visitors from out of town who plan their trips around coming to see us. Some arrive straight from their hotels with luggage in hand, while others take rideshares directly to our store just for the experience.
We wanted a location that serves both locals and visitors, and Chinatown felt like the perfect fit. It’s a community we’re genuinely excited to join.”
How do you define Claw World’s “premium arcade” experience?
“At its core, Claw World is about creating joy.
That philosophy began with my daughter. When she was five years old, I took her to an arcade where she spent $20 and didn’t win anything. She was devastated and told me she never wanted to go back.
From that moment on, I made a rule: no child should ever leave Claw World empty-handed. We always make sure kids walk away with something after they play.
That focus on fairness and experience is what separates us from traditional arcades and why families trust us.”
How did Labubu become such a central part of Claw World’s identity?
“We started carrying Labubu in November 2024, before most people knew what it was. Today, many customers refer to Claw World as the ‘Labubu headquarters.’
We carry a broad range of Labubu products, including Asian exclusives and hard-to-find releases, along with other popular collectibles like Sonny Angel and Smiski.
We stay ahead of trends through strong sourcing, international relationships, and constant research. Sometimes we don’t just follow trends—we help introduce them.”
What role does community engagement play in Claw World’s growth?
“Community has always been central to what we do. Over the years, we’ve donated tens of thousands of dollars in prizes and support to schools, teachers, and local organizations, and we plan to continue expanding those efforts.
We’ve also collaborated with many local businesses, and we’re excited to work alongside our new neighbors in Chinatown. Whether through joint events, promotions, or partnerships, growing together strengthens the entire district.”
What can the community expect from the Spring Mountain Road grand opening?
“Our first grand opening exceeded expectations, with more than 800 people visiting throughout the day.
For the Spring Mountain location, we’re building on that momentum. We’re planning more than double the prizes, along with additional surprises and interactive experiences.
Our goal is to create an atmosphere that guests feel the moment they walk in. This flagship is designed to raise the bar for what a premium arcade experience can be.”
