The inaugural Chinatown Creator Awards will honor a group of Las Vegas Chinatown’s most active content creators with custom award plaques at a private reception on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

The inaugural Chinatown Content Creator Awards Reception will take place on August 27, 2026, at COYA Living.
The Chinatown Creator Awards reception, hosted at COYA Living (3475 W. Desert Inn Rd), recognizes the Chinatown Content Creators — an unranked group of digital storytellers, photographers, food voices, and community personalities who document the restaurants, businesses, people, and experiences of the Spring Mountain Road corridor.
The inaugural honorees were introduced across five weeks this spring in This Week in Chinatown, concluding in early May, with each week spotlighting a different group of four creators. At the August 27 reception, they’ll be presented in those same five groups, with each honoree receiving a custom award plaque.
“The people we’re honoring built audiences for this corridor before Chinatown became the tourist magnet it is today,” said Joe Muscaglione, founder of ChinatownVegas.com. “They shot the food, showed up for the openings, and told people why Spring Mountain Road mattered. This is the neighborhood saying thank you.”
Chinatown Creator Awards: Why They Matter
Content creators have become one of the most direct ways Las Vegas Chinatown reaches new visitors. Long before a restaurant opening makes headlines, a creator’s video or photo often puts it in front of thousands of followers — shaping which spots locals try first and which stops make it onto a tourist’s itinerary. The Chinatown Creator Awards were created to formally recognize that role, treating the corridor’s storytellers with the same respect given to its chefs and business owners.
Organizers say this year’s reception is meant to be the first of an annual tradition, with future honorees added as the community and its digital footprint continue to grow alongside the corridor itself.
Chinatown’s Culinary Community Joins the Celebration
Rather than standard catering, participating chefs and restaurants are each creating an original dish, bite, or drink exclusively for the evening — many featuring some of the corridor’s most celebrated culinary talent. The confirmed lineup:
- Chef Brian Howard — Sparrow + Wolf
Wood-fired Isaan sausage with fermented green mango, nam pla prik, and perilla leaf - Chef Steve Kestler — Aroma Latin American Cocina
“Chinatown Ceviche,” created exclusively for the reception. Kestler is a James Beard Award nominee for Best Chef: Southwest. - Double Zero Pie & Pub
Debut of its new New York–style pizza - China Mama
Featured dish TBD - Crystina Nguyen
Rice Dumplings with Shrimp & Pork - O.Onigiri
Wagyu and shrimp tempura selections - Chef Jimmy Li — Shanghai Taste
Abalone and sea cucumber meatball, created exclusively for the reception - Chef Bia — Lamaii
Garlic Herb Crispy Prawn - Milk Bread
Cheese Rolls & Guava Rolls - Noodlehead
Chinese Beef Roll - Santy Luangpraseuth — Yo, Mochi!
Crème Brûlée Donuts - Chef Yuka — Moignet Café
Mini Chiffon Sando - The Alchemist Bar & Restaurant
Cocktails and mocktails
The lineup brings together many of the same restaurants these creators have spent the past year documenting, supporting, and sharing with their audiences.
One Neighborhood, 23.9 Million Visits
The reception comes as the corridor keeps pulling in outside attention: a Clark County mobility analysis covering April 2025 through April 2026 recorded roughly 23.9 million annual visits to Las Vegas Chinatown, a neighborhood of about 248 verified sit-down restaurants plus cafés, specialty markets, bakeries, bars, spas, and nightlife between I-15 and Rainbow Boulevard. The content creators being honored are a big part of why — through reels, photography, reviews, and opening-day coverage, they’ve become one of the corridor’s main links between its independent businesses and the millions of people discovering it.
The Chinatown Creator Awards reception is private and invite-only, for honorees, participating chefs, event partners, and guests.
